Drive down a dark dirt road opposite the Shell Station on Huay Kaew and you'll stumble across another Chiang Mai favorite. Within a charming wooden structure you find a country bar meets dive bar meets an awesome place to drink whisky and listen to local and live Thai folk music. You'll generally find a fair sized mix of locals and expats -- some of them weeping into their glasses when the band starts crooning an old favorite.
