Baan Kwan Desserts

The world of Thai sweets is rarely penetrated by foreigners, and understandably so. Many of the morsels are strange looking, made with completely indiscernable ingredients and have textures more reminiscent of neoprene than candy. This is really a shame - Thai desserts have a lot to offer, but they take some serious investigation. Don't worry though, Baan Kwan (บ้านขวัญ) has your back. With tiny, cheap (3-7 thb) portions of dozens of sweets you can sample to your heart's content. Almost all of their offerings can be found at sweet stands across Thailand, so if you find something you like keep an eye out for it!
